Getting Ready for Distribution Day - July 19th, 2011

Adam at the washing station ... and you thought that washing dishes was a pain!  Veggies are picked in the garden, then carried to the CSA area in the basement of the barn where it is nice and cool.  Veggies are washed, bunched and placed in rubber tubs so that they can be quickly identified for placing in the distribution bags.

Crates of veggies lined up and ready to be moved back into the barn for packing.

Genny showing some of the bunches of rainbow chard ready to go.

Contents of an average sized weekly share of veggies.  From the lower right hand corner moving clockwise:  Salad turnips, kohlrabi, sugar snap peas, mixed baby salad greens, buttercrunch lettuce, beets, and snow peas!
